For the first time in a long while, all Digby’s are in one city at one time..it’s nice to be together again. We are such a tight knit family.. always have been, always will be :)
At one point Naomi was in L.A, Erina in Nepal, Parents in Tokyo, and I was in the Philippines. It’s kind of a typical scenario for us .. ha
I think I have to thank papa for giving us girls the passion for traveling. As long as I can remember, we’ve been taking every opportunity to go see the world. I think it’s so important to go out and see other cultures, people, experience different climates, feel out of place, find things in common with strangers, explore.. get lost.. figure out what ‘home’ really means.
There are so many places I’d love to go. My sisters and I are already talking about taking some sort of a wild trip after I finish touring this summer. By ’ wild ’ I mean going somewhere somewhat remote, skipping any luxuries and really immersing ourselves in a new part of the world for us. I’m excited to decide on that location..
I know this sounds strange but in my head, different countries have their own unique beats and rhythms which I find fascinating.. in every way, their language, their way of thinking, the sounds of the city, acceptance, non acceptance of things.. Erina, who just got back from Nepal showed me a very beautiful picture. It was two of two grown men, holding hands casually and walking down the street. She told me that in her experience it’s perfectly normal in Nepal for two men to be holding hands like that just as friends.. whereas here, I think most men walking down the street together holding hands in the states would automatically be assumed to be gay. I guess no matter your views on that topic, what I’m trying to say is.. I think it’s so intriguing> those differences..
Anywho, my usual constant coughing attacks are down to about 10 a day :) That’s a pretty significant improvement I’ll say. I still had to cancel writing sessions and move them to next week :/ But tomorrow, I have no choice (bc of deadlines) but to finish some filming for the ’ feel’ movie which is now being called ’ breathing underwater’. lol.. Just correcting a few things here and there in the narration scenes. I’m excited for everyone to see it.. :)
